*This application is only for those who can match the following criteria,
- Those who can speak English fluently.
- Those who are committed to staying in a hostel for at least 4 week.
- Those who are willing to contribute to a positive and enthusiastic team. Whether it be cleaning, organizing events or odd jobs around the hostel.
- Those who are willing to communicate with Japanese guests and make cultural and lingual exchanges.
- Those who are able to have an interview, face to face, in either of the J-Hoppers Hostels.
***Please Note***, we are looking for outgoing individuals who are willing to become a part of an already existing team of very dedicated workers. If you are in town just to party and feel that partying will be number one on your ad gender, then this job will not be for you. We still have a reputation to uphold.

What's in it for me?

You can stay / live in the hostel, for free, without paying a penny. All rent and utilities are covered in exchange for a few hours work.
宿泊代、家賃、保証金などは一切不要です。ホステルには無料で泊まって頂くかわりに、その対価としてお仕事をしてもらいます。
What type of room am I provided with?
提供してもらえる部屋はどんなの？
We provide you with a dormitory bed. You will have full use of all of the common facilities in the hostel: Showers, toilets, laundry and a full kitchen and T.V room. We also have free wifi Internet access in all of the hostels, which you are entitled to use.
ドミトリーのベッドとなります。 シャワールーム、洗面、トイレは、滞在のお客様と同じ共用の設備を利用していただきます。 無線でのLANアクセスはどのホステルでも利用可能です。
How long will I be expected to work?
フリーアコモデーションスタッフとして、どんな仕事をすればいいの？
The price of a dormitory bed for one night is 2,500JPY. They way we work out the exchange is as follows: 1 hours work =800JPY so 2,500JPY divided by 800= 3 (the amount of hours you are expected to work each day).
提供させていただくドミトリーのベッドは、通常料金で一泊２５００円です。その対価として働いてもらうわけですので、目安として1日あたり２５００円分のお仕事をしてもらえればと思います。
- Short English lessons for Japanese customers
日本人のお客さん相手に英語のレッスン
（その日本人の人が他の言語を希望するならその言語でもOKです）
- Translation
翻訳
- Cleaning
清掃
- Helping do some repairing and renovation work if needed
館内の修理作業、改装作業の手伝い
- Making or correcting signage in the hostel including the design or translation
館内に貼ってあるサインの作成、デザイン、翻訳
- Planning and organizing events and partys
イベントやパーティの企画、とりまとめ、幹事
- Spending time with Japanese guests chatting, sightseeing, cooking, watching sports together, Etc. Just being a friendly face around the hostel for the guests to interact with.
日本人のお客さんと一緒に何かをする。たとえば、一緒に観光に行ったり、料理をつくったり、スポーツ観戦に行くなど。
*If you have any other hidden talents we would love for you to share them with the guests. Playing instilments or things of that nature.
※もし、他になにか得意なことがあれば、それをお仕事として考えられるかもしれません。
